Ben Herbert
Ben Herbert is the owner of Herbert Tile and a self-taught woodworker since 2001. Working with his hands has always come naturally to Ben, much like his father, who is a surgeon by profession but a craftsman at heart. Ben grew up sharing his father's passion for time-honored techniques, well-designed tools, and the creative process.
At a young age, Ben started a masonry and carpentry company; these formative years allowed Ben to fine tune his skills and gain a deep appreciation for the detail and precision that goes into making truly fine work. In 2011, Ben shifted his business to Herbert Tile to provide clients with a reliable source for high-quality tile needs and a uniquely personal experience. When he's not on the job, Ben enjoys home-brewing beer, building in his Cape Elizabeth workshop, and spending time with his partner, Stephanie and their 2-year old Rottweiler, Sonni.
